Ash – Red Fox – Successfully Released

Our red fox, “Ash” has been released back into the wild at the Kentucky Horse Park!

After four months of rehabilitation by the Kentucky Wildlife Center, Ash has been released back to where he was found, at the Kentucky Horse Park. His mange has been successfully treated, he has put on weight, and is ready for winter! As you can see from the video below, his winter coat has grown in beautifully.

Days like yesterday are reason to cry happy tears. This fox has known only the wild. Only after we were confident that he would be successful back where he came from, did we release him back into the wild. This is a tremendously huge reminder as to why we do what we do!
