Dedicated to helping Kentucky's orphaned, injured, sick, and displaced wildlife. Founded by Karen Bailey who is a licensed wildlife rehabilitator with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife and a Certified Wildlife Rehabilitator with the International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council.
Central Kentucky Wildlife Rehabilitation, Inc. specializes in providing comprehensive care for orphan wild mammals with a specialty in baby raccoons. Facility includes a state-of-the-art nursery that is equipped with incubators and intensive care units and large outdoor pre-release enclosures with trees, nest boxes, and pools. Located on 700 acres in Scott County, CKWR is committed to providing the best chance possible of releasing the animals back to the wild.
Central Kentucky Wildlife Rehabilitation is located in Scott County (Georgetown) and serves the Central Kentucky area including the following counties: Fayette (Lexington), Woodford (Versailles), Bourbon (Paris), Franklin (Frankfort), Jessamine (Nicholasville), Harrison (Cynthiana), Anderson (Lawrenceburg), Mercer (Harrodsburg) and Clark (Winchester).
